I never blamed my miscarriage on any of this stuff. I considered sex, but knew that it wasn’t possible.
I have blamed my miscarriage on many things though. I fell once, but not hard. I skipped my prenatal vitamin once in a while because I was too nauseaus to take it.
I’m sure nothing was to blame for my miscarriage but it is always easier to put the blame on something.
PK´s last blog ..Hi, my name is PK and I’m a googleholic.
Only God can decide if who’s who and who’s not and people are just instruments to help.
I always argue with my sister about sex not being a cause of miscarriages.. Thanks for the article
Statements like “ultrasound has not been proven to cause miscarriage” or “ultrasound has not been proven to be harmful to the unborn baby” are true,in the same sense that “smoking has not been proven to cause cancer”.
Facts:
1. There is a correlation between the neurological problems / brain structure of autistic humans and the offspring of pregnant mice that have received ultrasound. “The brains of the offspring showed damage consistent with that found in the brains of people with autism. ” (Rakic, Yale 2006).
2. For embryonic mice subjected to ultrasound “a small but statistically significant number of neurons fail to acquire their proper position and remain scattered within inappropriate cortical layers and/or in the subjacent white matter. The magnitude of dispersion of labeled neurons was variable but systematically increased with duration of exposure to USW” (Rakic, Yale 2006).
3. Ultrasound is not radio waves. Ultrasound bounces sound off of matter and measures the response. This bouncing moves the matter (neurons, cells) that are on the surface of the child’s brain.
4. A study done in Sweden in 2001 showed a positive correlation between non-genetically determined left-handedness and amount of ultrasound received before birth (Department of Medical Epidemiology,Karolinska Institutet).
5. Medicaid reduction between 1993 and 2002 is correlated with a 68% decrease in the incidence of autism for babies born to Hispanic mothers. Hispanic and Black mothers receive less pre-natal “care” than Whites. During this same period, the nationwide incidence of autism increased 57%.
