William Shakespeare – “He Dies”

William Shakespeare

On 30th Dec 2007 I went to theatre with
my friends. We watched Mr. Magorium’s
Wonder/Magic Empire. There’s a scene
which attracted me. It sounded more or
less like this:

“do you know how Shakespeare put an end
to the character he wrote in the last
chapter of his book? He wrote ‘he
dies.’ that’s all. So simple, no
additional clause or beautiful phrase,
just ‘he dies.’ It took a genious like
Shakespeare to write the simple
sentence ‘he dies.’ but what important
is not that sentence he wrote, but all
the sentences prior to it that matter.”

The scene reminds me that somehow our
journey must end. When it ends, simply
end it. But before we end it, make sure
we have made a story. A story worth
told and ended by ‘he/she dies.’

But I don’t have the idea when we’re
gonna end our journey. So, I make
checkpoints in yearly period. This 2007
period has ended. It ends with “I
LIVE!”.

While the meaning if the film Dialog is clear..it is in Error

The phrase “He dies” appears in the severl plays stage directions, not the orginal text itself. In fact, Bill never wrote any stage directions, so he did not write “He dies.”

This, along with all the other stage directions in Shakespeare’s plays, was added by later editors.
